Why did you want to be a Council Member?

Thousands of recreational soccer fans (couples, kids and families) play soccer across our city every night. As an active member in this soccer-loving community, I want to help ensure that the Sounders remain welcoming, positive and energized behind our team and sport.

What are your goals as a Council Member?

I plan to continue to work to strengthen a strong foundation for the future growth of the Council. We need to make sure we are always finding ways to make ourselves available to hear from the Alliance, so we can act on their behalf. I'd also like to find more ways to get more of the Alliance membership actively involved in decisions affecting them as fans.

When did you know that the Sounders would be a 'big deal?'

This is a soccer region with thousands of kids and adults playing year round on recreational teams, and there was already a lot of excitement surrounding the MLS expansion.  But it wasn't until the team name vote came around, that I really knew it was going to be big. There was this intense energy and protective enthusiasm coming from the fans. I knew then that we'd embraced the Sounders as our team.
