Sounders U-23 Single Match Tickets On Sale

Tacoma, WA. – The Seattle Sounders U-23 announced that Single Match Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 PDL Season.  The release of tickets is highlighted by the Sounders U23 vs. Portland Timbers U23, to be played at Tumwater High School Stadium on June 2nd.

Tumwater High School offers an easy access venue, just south of Tacoma, which can be a destination for both Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers fans to voice their support. Tumwater, WA is less than 2 hours north of Portland and about a half hour south of Tacoma. The June 2nd date lies during a MLS schedule break, offering fans the perfect Saturday to cheer on their clubs’ “Stars of Tomorrow.” The Sounders U23 vs. Portland Timbers U23 match will kick off at 6pm.

"We are excited to be a part of the south sound soccer scene with the Sounders U23 team,” said Sounders U23 Head Coach, Darren Sawatzky. “The game against Portland comes at a great point in the season for fans hungry for a good match during the MLS first team break period.”

Single Match Tickets are just $10 for all general admission seating. Six of the eight PDL Regular Season home matches are on sale now. The two Cheney Stadium matches on May 30th and June 15th will be on sale soon. The Sounders U23 will be the first team to play soccer in the renovated Cheney Stadium.

The Sounders U-23 play their first exhibition match against Gonzaga University on April 15 at Sunset Stadium in Sumner, Washington. The Sunday match will be a noon kickoff and is a $5 donation suggested.

The first regular season home match comes on May 25th against the Victoria Highlanders. This is one of five games that will be played at Franklin Pierce. In the heart of the season, the Sounders U23 will play five straight home games from May 30 to June 15.

The final weekend of the 2012 campaign features July 8 and July 11 matches against Fraser Valley Mariners and the North Sound Seawolves. Both games will be at Franklin Pierce High School.
