2012: Set career-high with 13 goals in regular-season play and co-led team with 17 goals across all competitions. Second on team with eight assists; 13 in all competitions. Set club record with 34 total points and 119 shots in league play. Scored first hat trick of career in 6-2 win at CHV (8/25). Scored first goal of season vs. LA (5/2), a 35-yard shot that was finalist for MLS Goal of the Year. Scored four game-winning goals and five game-winning assists. Leads team with 23 game-winning goals across all competitions since 2009 and also leads team with 12 game-winning assists. Scored eight goals across all competitions in six matches in August. 2010: Led the club in nearly every offensive statistical category, including goals (10), assists (10), shots (91), shots on goal (34), fouls committed (44) and fouls suffered (60). One of two players to finish season ranked top ten in MLS goals and assists. Voted MLS Player of the Month for July and was named MLS Inactive All-Star (7/27). Scored or assisted in a league-best nine consecutive matches from 6/5 to 8/8. Scored the first international goal for Sounders FC in the CONCACAF Champions League qualifiers vs. Metapán (7/28). Had four game-winning goals in MLS (six in all competitions) and had four game-winning assists. Named MLS Player of the Week for Week 22 and two of his goals were voted Goal of the Week, including his 40-yard free kick at DAL (4/22) and his game-winning header at SJ (7/31). Earned the club’s Golden Boot award for second straight season. Appeared in a team-high 40 matches in all competitions with 35 starts, logging 3174 minutes with 12 goals and 11 assists. Received his Green Card in November, granting him permanent resident status in the U.S. Named MLS Player of the Year by Premios Fox Sports for the second consecutive year.

2009:Won first year-end league award for club, as the MLS Newcomer of the Year. Was also the recipient of the team’s Budweiser Golden Boot award and made All-Star team. Started all 29 appearances, including both playoff games for Seattle. Led club in points with 31 on 12 goals and 7 assists. Finished tied for third in league in goals (12) and game-winners (4). Finished first in shots (86) and second in fouls suffered (62). Scored goals in five consecutive games from 6/13/ to 7/11. Scored the first goal in club history at the 12-minute mark vs. NY (3/19), which won MLS Goal of the Week, and finished the game with two goals and an assist. Scored third goal of season in week 2 vs. RSL (3/28), also voted MLS Goal of the Week. His dipping 30-yard drive at NE (9/26) was a finalist for MLS Goal of the Year. Won MLS Player of the Month for March. Started and played 45 minutes for MLS All-Stars in 1-1 loss to Everton. Started three of four U.S. Open Cup appearances. Scored first goal in USOC final 2-1 win at DC and later named man of the match. Named Breakout Player of the Year by FOX Pan American Sports.

Other Professional Experience
2008: Led Colombian Copa Mustang II in scoring with 16 goals in 22 matches for Deportivo Cali, which finished fourth. Scored five goals in 32 combined appearances during previous two league sessions after returning from loan assignment. Loaned to Atlético Huila and burst upon scene, leading first division with 13 goals in 18 games during Copa Mustang I, with club finishing runner-up, its bestever placement.

International Experience
Has four caps for Colombia National Team. Most recent appearance was in frinedly with Venezuela at Giants Stadium (8/12/09). Scored first and only goal in Copa Sudamericana. Started Colombia’s World Cup qualifier Oct. 11, 2008 vs. Paraguay. Earned his first national team cap in friendly vs. Panama.

Personal
Born Fredy Henkyer Montero Muñoz. Son of Fredy and Jaynne. Oldest of four children. Brother is Luiggi. Sisters are Jaynne and Fiorella. Father was a policeman. As a youth, he regularly was a top tournament scorer. At the age of 13 he approached Deportivo Cali scouts, earning a contract after a single tryout. Starred for the youth team in wins over the Colombian youth national team and a tie with Italy’s Juventus youth team.
