Randy Noteboom joined the Sounders FC staff following three seasons as the head athletic trainer for the USL-1 Sounders, from 2006-08. In 2010, his staff was named by MLS as the Athletic Training Staff of the Year. He is also a staff physical therapist and clinical specialist for Virginia Mason Sports Medicine, which he joined in 1985. Noteboom has also taught a number of courses on the care and prevention of injuries. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1980 with a degree in kinesiology and a degree in physical therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 1985. He received his athletic training certification from the NATA in 1982.
