Why did you want to be a Council Member?

Democracy in sports provides an incredible platform for the fan and the consumer and I believe that we have a tremendous privilege to hold ourselves accountable when we serve as a liaison between the fan and the ownership. I feel that there are so many types of fans but we all have similar expectations and that is to make Game Day and the Game Day Experience as great as it can be. I wanted to have a say and a voice and serve as an advocate to fans like me.

What are your goals as a Council Member?

I want to work with all fans, consumers, and supporter groups to ensure that the culture of Sounders remains true. Experiencing Sounders game day is unique to each person; some go to each game while others are coming to their first match. I want to see that each game is as great as it can be and that it creates a fan for life.

When did you know that the Sounders would be a ‘big deal?’

I have been impressed over and over again with this organization. There was the introduction of the ownership group and seeing that these guys knew what they were doing and meant business…bringing Kasey home…the massive (and brilliant) marketing campaign that lead to 22,000+ season ticket holders right off the bat…opening night and NO ONE sat down…
