Alliance Council Member
Why did you want to be a Council Member?
One of my passions in life is sports, especially soccer. When I heard that Seattle was getting an MLS team, I couldn’t wait to become a ticket holder. I was very excited when I heard about the Seattle Sounders FC Alliance. It provides a unique opportunity for the fans to make a real impact on the direction of the franchise. I wanted to have a bigger role in the Alliance and that’s why I ran for Council. I want to make sure the Alliance succeeds and that the Sounders remain the greatest football club in MLS.
What are your goals as a Council Member?
My goal is to see that every fan that comes out to Qwest Field has an amazing experience. I will achieve this goal by making sure that the concerns of fans are heard by the ownership group.
When did you know that the Sounders would be a 'big deal?'
I had a feeling that the Sounders would be a big deal when the inaugural home opener sold out and more tickets had to be released. It was solidified for me when more seats had to be opened up for the rest of the inaugural season and all the single game tickets were sold out months in advance. After two regular seasons of sell outs, two trips to the playoffs, and two Open Cup trophies, the Sounders are still the big deal in Seattle.
