Why did you want to be a Council Member?

My role in ECS is largely related to our large Tifo displays and the logistics surrounding them. Since the Council has some ability to affect things regarding matchday environment and operations, I wanted to lend a voice to the people behind the large displays. Additionally, I wanted to provide additional representation on the Alliance Council for my section.

What are your goals as a Council Member?

When did you know that the Sounders would be a ‘big deal?’: I’m one of the few people for whom the “Superclub Friendlies” did their job. I attended the 2009 friendly against Chelsea FC (my longtime European club) and realized that the matchday atmosphere was far more fun than simply watching football on TV. Since then, my interest in European football has waned significantly as my interest and involvement in what’s happening here in Seattle has increased. I hope we see more people coming to that conclusion as the years pass.
