Why did you want to be a Council Member?

I grew up in Seattle going to NASL Sounders games as a Jr. Booster member.  I fell in love with the club when I was 10 years old.  Becoming a part of the first ever Alliance Council was my way of showing my support for the club.   I wanted to do more than just be a fan.  I'm eager to represent the season ticket holders and fans to help make this be the model for other teams. 

What are your goals as a Council Member?

Since the Council and Alliance are new ideas, my first goal is to contribute to the formation of the Council by making it successful.  Keeping a fair and honest ear available to the season ticket holders and bringing their concerns to the Front Office/owners in an effective way.

The biggest issue that I'm hearing about from fans is the lack of quality beer .  I know this is a tricky one with Qwest contracts, but Seattleites expect good beer at the pubs/restaurants they frequent. Sounders matches should be no different. A topic my constituents and I believe needs attention.
As a more personal goal, I would love to help initiate a Sounders Jr. Alliance... sort of like the NASL Jr. Booster Club I was in as a child.

When did you know that the Sounders would be a 'big deal?'

I knew it would be a big deal for me and my friends who love the game, as I’ve been waiting since a kid for MLS... but I guess I didn't realize it was going to be this BIG.  Acquiring Freddie Ljungberg, Sigi Schmid, and Kasey Keller were all indicators that the owners weren't going to skimp on the team.  Our owners are soccer fans as well.  Having that respect for the game and the team, starting at the top, just radiates to the players, the fans, and even the city.  It's been so terrific to see and experience! GO SOUNDERS!
