Alliance Council Member
Why did you want to be a Council Member?
I felt that as a council member, I could effectively serve as a channel between management and the fan base. I believe the club and fans have done great things together, and have done great things separate from one another, but I hope we can better organize and focus our collective passions to continue improving our team. Being a member of the Emerald City Supporters’ (ECS) leadership, I also felt that I could effectively represent our members, as well as the rest of the Seattle fan base.
What are your goals as a Council Member?
Improving Qwest’s atmosphere will always be my number one goal. I think that the supporters and a vibrant fan base can collectively influence the outcome of each match in favor of the Sounders, but we still have many improvements to make to have an on-going and intimidating presence for traveling teams. I also want to make sure the SSFC front office is actively listening to fan complaints and demands, and that reasonable attempts are made to accommodate the reasonable wishes of our fans.
When did you know that the Sounders would be a 'big deal?'
It was hard for me to think that the club would be any bigger than it was during the USL days, but after it was clear that the number of season tickets holders was greater than even the biggest match of the year at Starfire, I knew that Seattle Sounders FC was going to be an impressive and thrilling franchise.
