Dear Sounders FC fans,

Welcome to the new SoundersFC.com, the official online home of Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders Football Club!

When it was announced that Seattle would have its own Major League Soccer franchise, we founded MLSinSeattle.com. Then you gave us a name and SoundersFC.com was born. Now, with a championship coach and a nearly complete roster of international and homegrown footballers, SoundersFC.com has evolved as well.

The Seattle Sounders FC has already set new standards of expectations for what an expansion club can be and is committed to being competitive from the outset. To this end, we do not launch a web site.  Instead, we cross the threshold of a new web home – a place where under a single roof all good things can happen.

Behind the theme of Democracy in Sports, we launch this beta site as an unfinished canvas and openly solicit your help and participation in shaping how the world sees the Pacific Northwest’s newest gem. Never before has the success of a sport site been more dependent on the active involvement of its fans.

By unfinished, you will notice that the content from the old site has not been fully added, and some of the functionality has yet to be turned on.  Rest assured this will all be resolved by the end of the beta period, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek to help us work out the kinks.

As you work your way through the pages, you will notice that we have woven an online community into the fabric of this site. Not only will SoundersFC.com be your source for exclusive club coverage, but now you can discuss, share, and meet with other like-minded individuals as crazed about soccer in Seattle as you – all under the same roof.
