Join the Sounders FC and Boys & Girls Clubs of King County for their 1st annual School Supply Drive.
RENTON, Wash. – The Sounders FC and the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County will host a school supply drive at the Sounders FC vs. New England Revolution match next Thursday, August 20 at Qwest Field. Kick-off is set for 7:30PM.
"Thousands of the area youth are not able to afford the proper supplies necessary to succeed in school, like backpacks, pencils, crayons and paper,” said Boys and Girls Club Communications & Public Relations Director Rachel Doxtater. “We're so grateful to have loyal supporters who care about our Club kids and who step up to help provide these youth with the tools to succeed."
Volunteers will be collecting school supplies and cash donations starting at 5:30 p.m. at the following Qwest Field entrances: north, northwest, northwest VIP, southwest, southwest VIP and entrances into the stadium through the Qwest Field Event Center Garage.
Suggested School Supply donations:
- Backpacks (for all ages!)
- Rulers
- Pencils
- Pens
- Crayons
- Calculators
- Pencil pouches
- Binders
- Folders
- Notebooks
- Colored pencils
- Erasers
- Art supplies
- Scissors
- Glue
- Etc.
Cash donations will also be accepted.
