Seattle Sounders FC Midfielder Steve Zakuani tallies a goal and an assist in 2-1 victory over Chivas USA
NEW YORK - Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Steve Zakuani was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 29 of the 2010 MLS season. Zakuani scored the game's opening goal and added an assist in Seattle's 2-1 victory over Chivas USA on Friday at Qwest Field.
Zakuani was also voted Player of the Week for Week 17 when he scored twice against Colorado.
The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at http://www.soccerreporters.com/.
