TACOMA, WASH. - Sounders FC U23 (1-1-2, 5 points) drew 0-0 against the Victoria Highlanders Friday night their PDL home opener at Franklin Pierce High School. This marks the second draw against the Highlanders this season as the sides met just two weeks ago in Victoria and played to a 1-1 result.

Sounders FC Academy products Darwin Jones, Sean Okoli, and DeAndre Yedlin all started for the U23’s. Jones almost scored in the 6th minute when his one-on-one with the keeper was saved. In the 26th, Yedlin crossed to a rising Okoli, but the striker’s header went over the crossbar. Okoli also nearly scored at the end of the first half, and had another strong opportunity at the start of the second half.

Sounders FC U23 returns to action Sunday night when they play at Fraser Valley Mariners FC.
