Seattle Receives 2014 Supplemental Draft Pick
RENTON, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC has traded midfielder/forward Cordell Cato to the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2014 Supplemental Draft, the club announced today.
Cato, 20, played eight league matches last season for Sounders FC, becoming the youngest player in club history to record an assist. Overall, he scored one goal with four assists in 15 appearances across all competitions in his one season in Seattle.
Sounders FC opens the 2013 MLS season on March 2 against the Montreal Impact at CenturyLink Field.
