MLS Experience

2013: Set new career-highs with 21 appearances, 16 starts, and 1,458 minutes in 2013. Led Sounders FC with starts at four different positions. Played right back, left back, and center back over three game span (5/8-5/18). At one point started and went a full 90 minutes in seven straight matches (6/1-7/20). Appeared in 27 of 42 matches across all competitions.

2012: Enjoys his finest professional season with career-highs in appearances (20), starts (16), minutes (1,437), points (three), shots (11), shots on goal (two), fouls committed (27) and yellow cards (five). Scored first career MLS goal, the game-winner vs. COL (4/14), and recorded first career assist in 2-1 loss at POR (6/24). Recorded first career MLS Cup Playoffs goal and assist in Western Conference Championship vs. LA (11/18). Scored late equalizer in US Open Cup Final at KC (8/8). The team went 7-6-7 when he saw action and the team is 23-10-12 overall when he appears. Fifth amongst active Sounders FC players with 74 appearances across all competitions since 2009.

2011: Set new career highs for games played (12), starts (9), and minutes (864). Team was 6-1-2 in games he started. Appeared in first career playoff game vs. RSL (11/2). Made 22 appearances and 18 starts across all competitions.

2010: Started all four league appearances, logging 360 minutes. Made 10 starts in all competitions, including four of six CONCACAF Champions League group stage games. Scored the decisive goal in a penalty shootout at POR (6/30) in U.S. Open Cup.

2009: Made final roster following first preaseason with Seattle and started the club’s first-ever game just three days after signing. Started six of nine appearances, all at left back, and played 90 minutes in the first five matches of the season.

A regular starter for the final six of his seven seasons with USL-1 Sounders. Played at center back and left back. Member of championship teams in 2005 and 2007. Scored decisive penalty kick in quarterfinal shootout win over Kansas City in 2008 U.S. Open Cup. Totaled 139 games, eight goals (two game-winners) and three assists in league play. Finished sixth in total league appearances for the franchise (139) and fifth in minutes (11,171).
