Have you all caught your breath yet? That was something else.
Your Seattle Sounders Football Club marched on down to Portland and put on a show for the ages in its 4-2 thrashing of arch-rival Portland Timbers. In doing so, the Sounders reminded the other 18 clubs in MLS of what the most dangerous attack in the league looks like. In other words, you won't like Oba when he's hungry.
Goals came from Martins, Dempsey, Barrett and then Martins again (a goal that literally took my breath away) en route to the 4-2 victory. Just what a magnificent day it was.
Now that we're all back in Seattle and reveling in the wonderment that came from the match, let's look back and relive it all over again. All. Over. Again.
But first, a little fun with our friend to the south.
The day had come…and Oba was certainly the right choice for this fancy little graphic.
Question for you guys: Would you rather fight three koala bear-sized Ozzie’s or an Ozzie-sized koala bear?— Sounders Matchday (@LIVESounders) August 24, 2014
Only the beginning of the awesomeness.
Then the team arrived. There was much applause.
Drew was in the house…and I heard he bought a few beers, too.
Lineups were in…and this is a beaut. A real beaut, Clark.
And in sweet Instagram video form.
Our friends at the Reign giving us some love. We’d reciprocate later.

It was a nice goal, people. A very nice goal.

Then Clint got in on the fun with the most awesome of runs through the middle.
What a first half it was. Couldn’t ask for more as a Sounders supporter. Two goals in front of the TA? Take it.
70’ - GOALLLLLLLLL SOUNNNNNDDDDDDDERSSSSS!!!! IT’S CHAD BARRETT TO MAKE IT 3-0 SEATTLE!!!!!!— Sounders Matchday (@LIVESounders) August 24, 2014

76’ - Oba with just a RIDICULOUS run through the middle of the Timbers defense and pokes by Ricketts to make it 4-1 SEATTLE!— Sounders Matchday (@LIVESounders) August 24, 2014
Portland got one back and then Oba dropped a bomb with this unreal goal. Just watch it over and over and over.
77’ - What was that. Just what was that. WHAT WAS THAT. WHAT. WAS. THAT. WHAT. WOW. Stop it, Oba.— Sounders Matchday (@LIVESounders) August 24, 2014
Bad defending, Shane. Bad defending. AND OBA BEING AMAZING.

Djimbo was pleased with the result!
ECS and co were happy about the result, too.
Is that not exactly what Clint is thinking in this picture?
Subtle, Brad. Very subtle.
Absolutely top drawer.

Ozzie with the very positive message after a very positive match.
Great stuff from Stefan today as well. A few KEY saves.
Fantastic result today and better than that great soccer and total team effort. Need to bring that same game against Colorado. #Cascadiawin— Chad Barrett (@CBarrett19) August 25, 2014
Can’t stop, won’t stop.
Yep. Statement officially made.

All kinds of positive things for Seattle soccer yesterday.
Like seriously. Not fair on the rest of the league.
