In support of Seattle Sounders FC facing LA Galaxy in the 2014 MLS Western Conference Championship Second Leg, multiple Seattle landmarks are turning their lights Rave Green on Sunday, November 30. Other matchday festivities include Seattle and LA competing against one another for charitable causes in Sunday morning's Seattle Marathon, a March to the Match concert set by Fly Moon Royalty and a scarf drive presented by PEMCO Insurance.
Iconic Seattle landmarks are going Rave Green ahead of Sunday's match, with the Space Needle bearing Sounders FC colors all weekend. The Seattle Great Wheel is doing the same on Pier 57 from 4:00-10:00 p.m. on November 30, along with the Pacific Science Center arches from 4:45 p.m. on Sunday to 2:00 a.m. Monday morning.
In Sunday morning's Seattle Marathon, representatives from Sounders FC and the LA Galaxy will compete relay-style, with the loser making a donation to the winner's community fund. Competitors for Sounders FC include Goalkeeper Coach Tom Dutra, Senior Director of Business Operations Taylor Graham and Director of Community Outreach Roger Levesque, while LA Galaxy runners include President Chris Klein and Technical Director Jovan Kirovski.
March to the Match festivities begin at 4:15 p.m. PST with a performance by Seattle-based duo Fly Moon Royalty before the March sets off for CenturyLink Field at 5:00 p.m. PST.
On arrival at the stadium, fans are encouraged to bring a scarf, warm clothing item or monetary donation as a continuation of the PEMCO Insurance Scarf Drive. In all, 365 warm clothing items have been donated so far from World Kindness Day on November 13, the Annual Alliance Business Meeting on November 15 and the Leg One viewing party on November 23. CenturyLink Field gates open at 4:30 p.m. PST.
