Seattle Sounders FC has acquired a conditional 2017 MLS SuperDraft selection from expansion side New York City FC in exchange for the rights to Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Poku. Additional terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.
NYCFC has since added Poku to the club’s roster from NASL side Atlanta Silverbacks, where the midfielder made 25 appearances and recorded two goals in 2014.
Sounders FC opens its 2015 preseason training camp presented by adidas on Saturday, January 24 at the club’s Starfire Sports training complex in Tukwila. The Rave Green have subsequent preseason camps taking place at Mt. San Antonio College in Southern California from January 27 – February 6, followed by an extended stay in Tucson, Arizona from February 15 – Match 1 as the club competes in the 2015 Desert Diamond Cup.
