Sounders FC midfielder Marco Pappa played the final 15 minutes of Guatemala's FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Group C opponent St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday, coming on as a late sub in a 4-0 win.
Pappa came on in the 75th minute for teammate Mynor Lopez after logging a full 90 minutes in his team's clash with Trinidad and Tobago on Friday. The team's group play will resume in 2016 against the United States on March 26. The appearance was the 49th cap for Pappa.
S2 forward Oalex Anderson played the full 90 minutes for the Vincy Heat, his second full match in less than a week. He registered the lone goal for his country in a 6-1 loss to the United States last week.
Later in the day, Sounders FC forward/midfielder Nelson Valdez dressed but did not play in Paraguay's 2-1 win over Bolivia. Paraguay's FIFA World Cup qualifying resumes in March 2016 with matches against Ecuador and Brazil.
