SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC is set to face PDL side Kitsap Pumas in the Fourth Round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, June 15 at Starfire Stadium (7:30 p.m. PT / live-streamed on SoundersFC.com, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Sounders FC is 17-1-1 all-time at Starfire Stadium in the U.S. Open Cup, which Sounders FC has won four times since joining MLS in 2009. The Kitsap Pumas secured advancement to the Fourth Round of this year’s tournament Wednesday evening with a 3-1 win over Sacramento Republic FC at Bonney Field.

Tickets for the Open Cup match at Starfire Stadium start at $12 and are available through SoundersFC.com or by calling 877-MLS-GOAL. To reserve the best seats and to receive complete ticketing information for the 2016 season, visit SoundersFC.com/Tickets.

If Sigi Schmid’s side advances past Kitsap, Seattle’s Round of 16 opponent and location will be determined via a draw set to take place on Thursday, June 16.

Last year, the Rave Green fell by a score of 3-1 in an extra-time loss to the Portland Timbers in the tournament's Fourth Round at Starfire Stadium. The Open Cup, which is the oldest continuous soccer competition in the United States and the third-longest globally, is open to all United States Soccer Federation (USSF) affiliated teams. Winner of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014, Sounders FC is tied with the Chicago Fire for the most titles in the tournament among MLS clubs. Maccabi Los Angeles and Bethlehem Steel FC hold the record with five wins apiece, but both clubs are no longer active. In 2011, Sounders FC became the first team since 1968 to win three consecutive Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championships.

Following Wednesday’s 2-0 road win over D.C. United, Sounders FC begins a two-week break from action for the 2016 Copa America Centenario. Following the June 15 Open Cup fixture, Seattle resumes MLS regular season play on Sunday, June 19 with a nationally televised road match against the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena (4:30 p.m. PT / FS1, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
