SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced that the club is making additional seats available at CenturyLink Field for the 2017 Major League Soccer season. For the first time ever, a limited number of upper-bowl season tickets in sections 308, 309 and 310 are being offered as some of the most affordable seats in the entire stadium, located above the walkway and offering a view of midfield.
Seats within these sections are priced at $24 per match ($456 for the season) for inaugural Season Ticket Members, and $25 per match ($475 for the season) for all other Season Ticket Members. Season Ticket Members receive the first chance to relocate or add seats to their account, and can do so by contacting a member of Sounders FC's sales team at 877-MLS-GOAL. Non-Season Ticket Members can secure a spot by placing a $200 deposit today. Sounders FC fans have turned the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field into a fortress for Brian Schmetzer's side, with the club currently holding an MLS record streak of 146 consecutive home sellouts. Since 2009, Seattle has led Major League Soccer in attendance, with 2016's average of 42,636 fans-per-match good for second-best in the Americas among all professional soccer clubs.
Sounders FC captured its first MLS Cup on Saturday with a penalty-shootout win over Toronto FC at BMO Field. Goalkeeper Stefan Frei earned the game's MVP honors after making seven saves in 120 minutes of scoreless action before leading the Rave Green to victory via penalty-kicks, adding the 2016 Philip F. Anschutz Trophy to the club's case alongside four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups and the 2014 Supporters' Shield.
