MATCH RECAP: Sounders FC Earns 3-2 Road Win Over Philadelphia Union

CHESTER, PA. – Sounders FC (2-5-3, 9 points) defeated the Philadelphia Union (3-2-4, 13 points) 3-2 on Tuesday evening at Subaru Park. After jumping out to a 3-0 first-half lead following a brace from Raúl Ruidíaz and Obed Vargas’ first career goal, the Rave Green withstood a pair of second-half strikes from the hosts and return to Seattle with three points. Tonight’s match was a recommencement of the March 9 fixture between Seattle and Philadelphia that was postponed in the sixth minute due to inclement weather. Brian Schmetzer’s side now returns home to take on the LA Galaxy on Sunday, May 5 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (3:45 p.m. PT / Apple TV, FS1, 93.3 KJR FM, SiriusXM FC, El Rey 1360 AM).
