Professional Experience

2008: Led USL-1 in saves (119) and was tied for second in league with 10 shutouts. Started all but one league game and had a GAA of 1.14. Seattle advanced to semifinal round of U.S. Open Cup and fell in first round of playoffs. Eylander named Open Cup’s top performer after a 453-minute scoreless stretch, including 12-save shutout of Kansas City in quarterfinal. He saved two Wizards penalties in the tiebreaker.

2007: Starred in championship game win, 4-0 over Atlanta. Led league in wins (14) and saves (109), finished No. 2 in shutouts (13) and minutes and No. 3 in GAA (0.82). Sounders reached semifinals of Open Cup.

2006: Posted six shutouts and tied for No. 3 in wins (10) as a rookie. Selected by Seattle with 21st pick in first round of USL draft.

College

Finished his University of Washington career (2002-05) tied for No. 3 in shutouts (18), No. 4 in saves (187) and No. 5 in goals-against average (1.11). Started every game (39) his final two seasons. Selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third-team final two years. Held opponents to 0.97 GAA as a senior. Co-captain and first team All-Pac 10 as a junior, leading conference in saves and shutouts (10), including three against nationally-ranked teams. Played behind Danny Waltman as a sophomore after starting eight times as freshman. Played for Yakima Reds of PDL in 2005.

Club/High School

State of Washington Gatorade Player of the Year in 2002. Led Federal Way United to state championships in 1998, 1999 and 2000 and a runner-up finish in 2001.  Auburn Riverside’s Athlete of the Year in 2002. Also played one year of football, as a senior.

Parents are Deborah and Mark Eylander. One younger sister, Karlie. Engineering major.
