Lance Lopes

Lance Lopes was appointed to his position with Sounders FC in July 2008. In addition to his duties with Sounders FC, Lopes has oversight of First & Goal and he has administered the legal affairs for the Seahawks and First & Goal since 2001. Prior to joining the Seahawks, he served seven years as general counsel for the Green Bay Packers from 1993-2000, adding the title of Assistant Vice President from 1998-99 and Vice President from 1999-2000, during which time his duties primarily involved salary cap administration and player contract negotiations. In 2000, he left the Packers to serve on the original management team of StubHub. Prior to working for the Packers, he worked at the law firms Helsell, Fetterman in Seattle and Cades, Schutte in Honolulu.

Lopes graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1989, and he obtained a bachelor’s degree from Linfield College in 1985. Lance and his wife Susie have 6 children.
