Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of nine. Diabetes hasn’t stopped Jordan from chasing his dreams and inspiring others. Jordan is committed to diabetes awareness, education and connecting with those affected by T1D. Jordan and Sounders FC are offering the opportunity for a youth (ages 4-16) with type 1 diabetes to meet with Jordan after Sounders FC matches. Enter to be one of Jordan’s T1D Playmakers.

 Official Rules



         The Seattle Sounders FC-Jordan Morris T1D Playmakers Program (the “Program”) is sponsored by Seattle Soccer, LLC d/b/a Seattle Sounders FC, a Delaware limited liability company and the Jordan Morris Foundation, a Washington non-profit corporation (the “Sponsor”). No purchase necessary.  A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.  To enter, you must meet the eligibility requirements and participate in accordance with the rules set forth herein.  The Program is void where prohibited or restricted by applicable law, and all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.  The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Program at any time.



         Sponsor will select one or more lucky young fans (aged 4-16) whose parent or guardian has applied on his/her behalf during the Program Period for a chance to be selected to meet Jordan Morris after an upcoming Sounders FC home match at CenturyLink Field or at an away match MLS regular season match as selected by the Applicant.  Please note that Sponsor cannot guarantee the availability of the Program for away MLS Cup Playoff matches. 


         This Program shall begin at 5:00 PM PST on February 1, 2019 and conclude at 5:00 PM PST on October 31, 2019 (“Program Period”).  All applications must be received by the end of the Program Period.  To apply:

(1)        A parent or guardian of a youth who has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (“Applicant Guardian”) can submit the youth’s name and all required information at during the Program Period (“Applicant”).

(2)        Only those applications received from a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years old through the website will be eligible.  Only those children between the ages of four and sixteen (4-16 years of age) as of the date of application shall be eligible

(3)   By submitting an application, Applicant agrees to be bound by these official rules.


If Applicant is not selected as a winner during the 2019 season, Applicant shall automatically be included by Sponsor to be considered an eligible Applicant for future seasons, unless the Applicant Guardian opts-out by contacting, indicating the Applicant’s name and direction to Sponsor to opt him/her out of the Program for subsequent seasons.  Once opted out, Applicant Guardian will not be automatically opted out of receiving email communications and Applicant Guardian may still receive an email communication from Sponsor, and Applicant Guardian may opt-out at that time by following the email communication opt-out language at the bottom of the email. 



Through the application process, Sponsor shall  request information about Applicant for the sole purpose of selecting one or more winners for the Program, which may include personally identifiable information.  You do not have to submit non-required information in order to be eligible, however, the additional fields requested provide the opportunity to provide additional details that may assist the selection committee.  However, not entering those details does not disqualify the application.  You may be asked to opt in to receive emails, and choosing not to will not disqualify your entry or impact your chance of being selected.  To the extent that we ask for non-personal information about the Applicant that is qualitative or which cannot be used to identify an individual person, Sponsor reserves the right to aggregate that information and use it to evaluate the Program, report on the Program, provide feedback about the Program, and promote the Program.  The email address and phone number supplied by the Applicant Guardian should be that of the parent or guardian, and it is Sponsor’s intent only to contact the parent or guardian at all times regarding this Program and the Jordan Morris Foundation. By applying to the Program, Applicant Guardian grants Sponsor the right to share Applicant’s name, age, other biographical and other voluntarily provided information and Personality Rights (if granted and as defined below) with Sponsor and its partner organization the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation  (“JDRF”).          Upon applying Applicant Guardian shall be given the choice to opt-in to grant Sponsor the right to use Applicant’s name, likeness, photograph, image or video in promotional content about the Program to be featured on both the websites of and  By selecting that choice, the Applicant Guardian, on behalf of the Applicant, his/her legal guardians, heirs, and assigns hereby grants to Sponsor, their agents and others working on their behalf the right to use the Applicant’s name, likeness, voice, and any additional audio, video or photographs taken by the Sponsor or their affiliates or representatives during the Program for advertising and marketing purposes, including on the Program website, without additional compensation except where prohibited by law (“Personality Rights”).  The Applicant Guardian reserves the right to revoke this license to use the Personality Rights of Applicant at any time by notifying the Program administrator by emailing  Please include the Applicant Guardian’s name, the Applicant’s name and either the specific content Applicant Guardian would like removed and/or a statement that Applicant Guardian revokes the grant of Personality Rights with respect to the Program and the Applicant in full.  Sponsors will timely comply with all requests, but please allow two (2) business days to complete all removal of images from digital content.  In the event that an Applicant’s image has been used on printed literature or in out of home media, and may not be removed or recalled within two (2) business days, Sponsors shall only be obligated to remove all such material at the next most reasonable time (for example, Sponsor will immediately cease production of any further print materials and will work to recall or remove existing print materials in Sponsor’s control; and/or for an out of home advertisement, like a billboard, Sponsor shall be obligated to remove it promptly at the end of the paid run in advertisement and shall not extend the run and shall notify Applicant Guardian of the same).



         All applications which are received during the Program Period and that are otherwise deemed eligible will be judged by a selection committee convened by Sponsor at its sole and exclusive discretion.  Selection committee will select amongst all eligible applications, one or more applicants for every home and away match taking place throughout the 2018 MLS regular season, and 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs as subject to availability. 



If selected, an Applicant will be contacted about the opportunity to meet with Jordan Morris after an upcoming Sounders MLS home or away match.  In the event that Applicant and one (1) parent or guardian do not currently have tickets to the match selected, Sponsor will provide tickets.  If Sponsor provides tickets, the approximate retail value of those tickets is $70.00.  Recipient is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with receipt of the value of the tickets.

Selected Applicant will be notified via the email and/or phone number provided at the time of application.  Sponsor is not responsible if the selected Applicant is unable to attend the selected match, and is under no obligation to substitute the date of the match.  The post-match meet and greet will last no more than twenty (20) minutes and may be in any portion of the stadium determined by Sponsor, or its designee.  In the event Jordan Morris is injured, sick or otherwise misses the match selected for any reason, the event shall be cancelled and may not be rescheduled at Sponsor’s sole and exclusive discretion.  In the event Jordan Morris is called into national team duty and misses a selected match, Sponsor shall cancel the event and it may not be rescheduled at Sponsor’s sole and exclusive discretion.

The Sponsor is not responsible for any printing errors in these Official Rules, in the application questions or otherwise in any materials available at the Program Site. Sponsor shall not be responsible for lost, late, misidentified or misdirected applications, or telecommunication or computer hardware or software performance, errors, delays or failures. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the application process or the administration of the Program, including any attempt to contact Jordan Morris directly about this Program.


         Each Applicant hereby releases, and agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, Major League Soccer, L.L.C. and Soccer United Marketing, LLC, those working on their behalf, and each of their respective officers, members, managers, directors, representatives, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively “Released Parties”), from any damage, injury, death, loss or other liability, either at law or equity, whether known or unknown, asserted or non-asserted, that may arise from or in any way relate to participation in this Program or the selection acceptance, use or misuse of the exclusive opportunity or tickets or any other substitute thereof. Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Program shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. This Program shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the internal laws of the State of Washington. Any action or litigation concerning this Program shall take place exclusively in the federal or state courts sitting in King County, Washington, and each Applicant expressly consents to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waives all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. ANY CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND/OR AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS PROMOTION. ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ANY RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO ATTORNEY'ʹS FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ENTRANT WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND WHETHER BASED UPON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.


Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, undelivered, inaccurate, or garbled Submissions. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Program, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties occurring in connection with the administration of the Program, the processing of Submissions, or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Program.  Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to Applicant’s or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in this Program or from use of the online configurator tool. 


The Sponsor and the other MLS Entities, as applicable, reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Program for any reason, including should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Program.
