2020 (Defiance): Increasing his start total to six, Villanueva made a total of nine appearances, logging a total of 569 minutes and added four shots.

2019 (Defiance): Villanueva logged 385 minutes for the Defiance in his first season with the squad. He made his first appearance on September 8, 2019 in a 3-0 loss to the Sacramento Republic. He made five appearances total, including four starts.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Member of the U-17 USYNT in 2018 for Nike Friendlies.

YOUTH EXPERIENCE

Villanueva joined Sounders Academy from Real Salt Lake’s Academy in 2018. He helped the U-17 squad win the Generation adidas Cup in 2019. In 2020, Villanueva attended preseason in Mexico City with Sounders FC first team.
