Pat Noonan Placed on DL, Evans Removed

The Seattle Sounders FC announced today midfielder/forward Pat Noonan has been placed on disabled list, while midfielder Brad Evans was removed.

RENTON, WASH. - The Seattle Sounders FC announced today midfielder/forward Pat Noonan has been placed on disabled list due to an adductor strain.


As a result, Noonan, 30, will miss the remainder of the season. Noonan, in his eighth season in MLS and first with Seattle, signed with Sounders FC on March 31. He has started eight of 12 appearances with one goal and one assist. His last appearance was in a starting role on July 15 at D.C. United, playing 88 minutes in the 1-0 win.


Seattle Sounders FC Midfielder Brad Evans, placed on the disabled list August 17 has been removed, and will be eligible to return for the October 2 match against Toronto FC on the Xbox Pitch at Qwest Field.


Evans, 25, is in his fourth season in MLS. He started 11 of 12 appearances this season with one goal and three assists. His last appearance was June 10.


Evans started 25 of 27 appearances in 2009, recording three goals and two assists.
