NEW YORK - Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Mauro Rosales was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 18 of the 2011 MLS season. Rosales scored the winning goal and added an assist in Seattle's 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday at CenturyLink Field.

Rosales became the third Sounder to win Player of the Week this season. Fredy Montero won the award last week (Week 17) and Jeff Parke won it in week 10.

Saturday's win gave Sounders FC five wins in six games and extended their MLS undefeated streak to a club-record nine games (6-0-3). Sounders FC hosts EPL giants Manchester United on July 20 on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field. Fox Soccer will televise the match live. First kick is 7 p.m. PT.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at http://www.soccerreporters.com/.
