Major League Soccer on Monday announced named Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan to the MLS Team of the Week following their match-winning performances in Seattle’s 3-1 rout of the LA Galaxy on Sunday night.
The Sounders’ dynamic duo put on an attacking clinic on the road against the Galaxy, with Morris setting up Roldan for his first goal of the evening with a pinpoint pass to the back post in the 13th minute. Morris then grabbed a goal of his own in the 38th minute as he raced onto a through ball from Nicolás Lodeiro and calmly slid his shot past the goalkeeper.
Roldan rounded out the scoring in the 61st with a cheeky chip over David Bingham after João Paulo had played him through on goal.
The Sounders return to action on Saturday as they host the Vancouver Whitecaps at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT; JOEtv, Prime Video, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
