Robin Heitzman enters her second year with Sounders FC, now serving as Vice President of Marketing for the organization. In this role, Heitzman oversees the club’s marketing department which includes the Brand Planning & Insights, Brand Creative, Digital Brand Experience and Live Brand Experience teams. Collectively this group drives digital and physical experiences across Sounders channels to serve, engage and grow the Sounders fan base.
Prior to joining the Rave Green, Heitzman enjoyed the bulk of her career with Nike over the course of 11 years, working across various sports marketing and retail initiatives such as the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups and Chicago Marathon. She then led the Nike account at MKTG, a global Dentsu Aegis experiential marketing agency, to plan and execute Nike marketing programs and events such as those surrounding the 2016 Olympic Unlimited campaign, the Nike React global product launch and Nike+ Run Club.
Heitzman played NCAA Division I college soccer at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she also earned a B.S. in Sport Management. She is originally from Chicago and is now thrilled to live in the Seattle area, joined by her wife Melisa and six-year-old twins Dylan and Ethan.
