Seattle Sounders to honor Zach Scott with commemorative bobblehead

Get ready to add Mr. Sounder to your bobblehead collection.

The Seattle Sounders announced Tuesday that the first 20,000 fans through the gates at the team’s season finale at CenturyLink Field on Sunday will receive a commemorative Zach Scott bobblehead to honor his retirement after 15 seasons with the club.

Scott becomes just the second player in the team’s MLS era to be commemorated with a bobblehead, joining former goalkeeper Kasey Keller. Minority owner Drew Carey has also been honored since the team’s MLS inception in 2009.

Scott, 36, announced earlier this year that he will retire at the end of the season. He has played for the Sounders since landing a spot on the USL-era roster in 2002 via walk-on tryout, and has appeared in 349 matches and won seven titles with the team, including four U.S. Open Cup crowns and an MLS Supporters’ Shield.
