Ticket revenue for all home matches will directly benefit the RAVE Foundation.

Ticket Policies:

  • Tickets are available to purchase for both venues online and on matchday at the venue.
  • Children’s Tickets: Children under three years of age are not required to have a ticket provided they sit on an adult’s lap. Children who have celebrated their third birthday are required to have a ticket to gain admittance to a Sounders FC match. As a courtesy to all fans and to comply with fire regulations, children should not sit in the aisles or walkways. There are no discounted tickets available for children.
  • Accessible Seating: Starfire Sports Complex provides accessible and wheelchair convertible seats located in the main Grandstands. These seats are fully complaint with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). You may request one of these locations upon arrival at the stadium.

How to get to stadium:

Starfire Stadium at Starfire Sports Complex is located in Tukwila, WA at 14800 Starfire Way, Tukwila, WA 98188. Parking is available at the complex for an additional cost.

Security Policies:

  • To ensure public safety and a smooth entrance for fans on matchday, Tacoma Defiance matches at Starfire Stadium have the following security policies including security screening procedures, prohibited items and expectations of fan behavior.
  • Upon entry, guests will be asked to provide their ticket receipt, display all belongings for security search and be wanded. Guests will then receive a hand stamp for re-entry and restroom/concession access.
  • If you have an emergency, please notify a Tacoma Defiance staff member immediately.

Prohibited Items:

The following items are not allowed at MLS NEXT Pro venues or events.

  • Any bags larger than the approved 14” x 14” x 6”
  • Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons and firearms
  • Fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics
  • Illegal drugs or harmful chemicals
  • Any missile or object that can be used as a projectile
  • Aerosol cans or pressurized containers
  • Professional camera equipment, including but not limited to, tripods, battery packs, large commercial video cameras
  • Noisemakers, including, but not limited to, whistles and horns
  • Laser pointers
  • Remote controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones)
  • Hover-boards
  • Selfie sticks
  • Inflated soccer balls
  • Beach balls or other inflatable items
  • Animals (excluding certified service animals with proper documentation)
  • Any other items deemed to be inappropriate and/or dangerous by the Venue Security Representative
  • Diaper Bags: Diaper Bags count as exemptions to this policy. These bags are subject to search. Baby bottles with milk are permitted along with small milk cartons and juice boxes.
  • Emergencies & Evacuation: In the event of a serious Starfire Stadium emergency, all event staff, law enforcement and fire personnel are available to assist guests, including those with disabilities. Information will also be provided over the public address system and on the stadium video board.

Fan Code of Conduct:

Starfire Sports Complex, Major League Soccer and Tacoma Defiance management are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable match-day experience for all fans visiting Tacoma Defiance and Sounders FC events. We are also deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment, free of discrimination and harassment. The facility’s staff will proactively intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests and other fans can enjoy the event experience free from the following behaviors:

  • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, threatening or violent in nature, including verbal or physical harassment of match officials, players, staff or fans
  • Conduct that is illegal
  • Conduct that results in damage to the venue or other personal property
  • Displaying signs, symbols, images, using language or making gestures that are threatening, abusive, or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, ability, and/or sexual orientation
  • Displaying signs, symbols or images for commercial purposes or for electioneering, campaigning or advocating for or against any candidate, political party, legislative issue, or government action
  • Entering or attempting to enter the field, the field track, the tunnel or any other location other than that permitted by the fan’s ticket or credential
  • Possession of an unauthorized pyrotechnic device, smoke or firework or other Prohibited Items*
  • Throwing objects of any kind, including streamers and confetti
  • Failing to follow requests from venue staff regarding stadium operations, policies and emergency response procedures
  • Declining to promptly return a ball that enters the stands
  • Irresponsible use or consumption of alcohol or other substances
  • Making unauthorized transmissions or play-by-play accounts of the match
  • Displays of affection not appropriate in a public setting
  • Any behavior that otherwise targets other fans or interferes with other fans’ enjoyment of the game

Each guest should be ready to display their ticket to stadium officials upon request to verify their seat location. All Season Members are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their Guests and/or persons occupying their seats in their absence.

If you need to report a Fan Code of Conduct violation, you can speak directly to a Defiance staff member. If you are unable to report on matchday, please call Sounders FC customer service at 877-657-4625 or email customerservice@soundersfc.com to report an issue.

Food and Beverage Policy:

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed at Starfire Stadium. Concessions will be available in the pavilion area located outside of the stadium entrance. Hotdogs, pretzels, nachos, Dippin' Dots, chips, candy, and more are available for purchase and allowed inside the stadium. Assorted hot and cold nonalcoholic beverages are also available.

Alcohol and ID Policies:

Starfire Sports Complex works hard to promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Our alcohol policies are listed below.

  • Starfire policy requires all guests to show a valid ID to alcohol enforcement staff before purchasing or receiving alcohol.
  • No alcohol will be sold to guests who are under 21 years of age.
  • No alcohol will be sold to guests who appear intoxicated.
  • There will be a two (2) beer/wine limit per person per transaction before halftime. After halftime, there will be a one (1) beer/wine per person per transaction limit until the 60th minute when beer service is halted for the remainder of the match.
  • Guests passing alcohol to minors will be ejected and subject to arrest.
  • Guests possessing alcohol, who do not have proof of being at least 21 years of age, may be ejected.
  • We reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.
  • Alcohol is not allowed outside of the stadium. Beverages must be consumed inside the stadium and are not to travel outside to surrounding fields or to the pavilion area.
  • Alcohol purchased at the restaurant at Starfire, Watershed F.C., must be consumed at the restaurant and is not allowed around the campus or in the stadium.
  • Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into Starfire Sports Complex. Any attempt to bring alcohol inside will be considered a violation of the Fan Code of Conduct and may result in the guest being ejected, arrested, or tickets being revoked.

Identification MUST be valid (not expired) and show:

  • The bearer’s date of birth,
  • The bearer’s signature (except US Military ID),
  • A photograph of bearer.

The following forms of ID are acceptable at Starfire Sports Complex:

  • Driver’s License, Instruction Permit, or ID Card issued by any U.S. State, U.S. Territory, and District of Columbia.
  • Driver’s License, Instruction Permit, or ID Card issued by any Canadian Province.
  • Valid Washington State Temporary Driver’s License.
  • US Armed Forces ID Card (encrypted signature & vertical format accepted).
  • Merchant Marine ID Card issued by the U.S. Coast Guard.
  • Official Passport Booklet or Official Passport Card (must be printed in bearer’s native language and in English).
  • NEXUS Card.
  • Washington State Tribal Enrollment Card (no expiration date required).

The following forms of ID are NOT accepted for alcohol purchases at Starfire Sports Complex:

  • Punched IDs are NOT accepted
  • Expired IDs are NOT accepted
  • Temporary IDs are NOT accepted
  • Vertical forms of ID other than the Department of Defense issued Common Access Card are NOT accepted

Customer Service:

Defiance and Starfire staff are available during the entirety of the match to provide you directions or answer any questions you may have. The main customer service booth is located near the main stadium gate.

Smoking/Tobacco:

In compliance with state law (RCW 70.160), smoking of any kind is prohibited in all areas of Starfire Stadium. This includes, but is not limited to: cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vape pens, and smokeless tobacco.

Restrooms:

Restrooms are located next to the main gate of Starfire Stadium are all ADA-compliant.

Parking:

  • Parking at Starfire is $6 per match. CARD ONLY, NO CASH.
  • Alternatively, Starfire membership that includes an annual parking pass may be purchased for $40 through the Starfire website (excludes US Open Cup matches and special events).
  • Parking for events at Starfire at nearby businesses that are not managed by Starfire staff is prohibited. Violation of this policy may lead to ticketing or towing of the vehicle.
  • Starfire encourages guests to plan to arrive early and carpool whenever possible.
