JOB TITLE: 50 / 50 Raffle Seller

DEPARTMENT: RAVE Foundation

REPORTS TO: RAVE Foundation / Community Outreach Coordinator

FLSA STATUS: Part-Time, Hourly Position (Variable)

DURATION: October; Possible post-season work

SUMMARY

RAVE Foundation, the charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC, is seeking energetic, outgoing and self-driven individuals to sell 50 / 50 raffle tickets during all home matches for the remainder of the season.  This position will be responsible the sale of raffle tickets beginning when gates open an hour and a half before kick-off and ending twenty minutes after kick-off.  One winner will receive 50% of the jackpot at half-time, and the remaining 50% will be used by RAVE Foundation.  This is an excellent opportunity to put your sales and customer service skills to use, while learning more about RAVE Foundation and Sounders FC matchday operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sell 50/50 raffle tickets during Sounders FC home matches
  • Proactively approach fans pre-match and during match to educate and communicate 50/50 raffle rules and details
  • Meet or exceed sales goals each match
  • Process financial transaction promptly and accurately
  • Understand the goals of RAVE Foundation and effectively communicate information regarding the Foundation’s charitable endeavors
  • Positively engage fans and provide exceptional customer service as needed
  • Project a professional, courteous image to fans always
  • Provide feedback to the front office following each match

QUALIFICATIONS

This position functions primarily at CenturyLink Field.  Must have reliable means of transportation to all home matches. Employee will be required to remain standing for extended periods of time and may be able to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs.

JOB TITLE: Coordinator, Partnership Marketing

DEPARTMENT: Corporate Partnerships

REPORTS TO: Director, Partnership Marketing

FLSA Status: Salary, Non-Exempt

 

SUMMARY:

The Sounders FC Coordinator, Partnership Marketing will play an integral role in supporting the Partnership Marketing team administratively, as well as with many key projects - including promotional activation and fulfillment, building recap presentations, matchday and event assistance, and more.

This position will also be responsible for maintaining inventory and the fulfillment of services of the following Sounders FC partnership operations: radio, television, digital media, mobile app, and game presentation elements.  The Coordinator will also manage assigned Corporate Partnerships, to include all media accounts (e.g. television and radio). 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Radio & Television Fulfillment & Services

  • Maintain inventory for all Sounders FC English & Spanish radio and television production properties (i.e. Match Day, Weekly Show, promotional spot banks, etc.). Includes commercial inventory, drop-in’s and features. Maintain a proactive dialog on all inventory levels and additional revenue opportunities to all applicable departments.
  • Coordinate advertising fulfillment with Corporate Partnership staff, Sounders FC broadcast partners, including preparing production orders, tracking spots and maintaining rotation schedules
  • Coordinate production of any commercial spot(s) with flagship station
  • Review monthly partnership affidavits to ensure complete execution
  • Work with broadcast partners and Sounders FC Broadcast department to establish scheduling and deadlines to communicate to partners
  • Lead coordination of wrap-ups for all television and radio related execution, includes summarizing fulfillment, ratings and affidavits as well as providing audio/visual clips of pertinent fulfillment elements.
  • Act as a Media liaison on behalf of Corporate Partnerships including attending weekly meetings, identifying sellable opportunities, etc.

Digital Media Fulfillment & Services

  • Manage Corporate Partner inventory and fulfillment on SoundersFC.com and the Sounders FC mobile app - including tile advertisements, section sponsorships, landing pages, etc.
  • Review monthly partnership affidavits to ensure complete execution
  • Manage Corporate Partner email marketing, social media, and “Monthly Magazine” inventory and fulfillment
  • Lead coordination of wrap-ups for all digital media, social media and email marketing related execution, includes summarizing fulfillment, impressions, and providing other pertinent elements as requested.
  • Act as a Digital Media liaison on behalf of Corporate Partnerships including attending weekly meetings, identifying sellable opportunities, maintaining industry trends, etc.

Game Presentation Fulfillment & Services

  • Manage Corporate Partner inventory and fulfillment of Game Presentation assets including in-stadium LED, SounderVision (videoboards), Concession TVs, etc.
  • Review monthly partnership affidavits to ensure complete execution
  • Lead coordination of wrap-ups for all Game Presentation related execution, includes summarizing fulfillment, impressions, and providing other pertinent elements as requested.
  • Act as a Game Presentation liaison on behalf of Corporate Partnerships including attending weekly meetings, identifying sellable opportunities, etc.

Account Coordinator

  • Serve as a lead contact for all service fulfillment elements with assigned corporate partner accounts
  • Plan and coordinate activation strategies and calendars for assigned corporate partner accounts
  • Proactively develop new ways to establish strong relationships with assigned corporate partner accounts
  • Effectively manage the following core fulfillment responsibilities for assigned corporate partner accounts:
    • Match day execution (on-site set-up, in-game promotions, giveaways, presentations and hospitality)
    • Coordinating media elements (television, radio, web and social)
    • Events/promotion execution (retail marketing initiatives and non-game day/community events and appearances)
    • Partner signage and printed inventory
    • Coordinating tickets, merchandising and hospitality elements
    • Entering and maintaining all partner elements in inventory spreadsheets; Creating and presenting wrap-ups as necessary

Partnership Marketing Support

  • Execute various season-long promotional activations & fulfillments
  • Manage and coordinate the department’s autographed merchandise, photo libraries, and cameras
  • Manage department hospitality elements on matchday
  • Aid in developing recap presentations for all current partners
  • Conduct Corporate Partnership research and the development of comprehensive reports on:
    • Specific sponsorship categories and industry trends
    • Other MLS teams’ sponsors
    • Other Seattle/Washington-based sports franchises’ sponsors

JOB TITLE: Club Development Program Coach (multiple positions available)

DEPARTMENT: Soccer Programs

REPORTS TO: Director of Soccer Programs

STATUS: Part-time, hourly.  Hours will average 15-20 per week and shall not exceed 30 per week.

DURATION:  Approx. April – November

SUMMARY
The Sounders FC Youth Club Development program is designed to provide local clubs with curriculum and coaching support to improve grassroots soccer programming.  Club Development Coaches will represent Sounders FC in leading local club training sessions, providing technical instruction, and supporting parent volunteer coaches within these clubs.

The Club Development Coaches will learn, follow, and lead training sessions using Sounders FC designed curriculum.  Coaches will be working with a variety of age ranges (5 to 12) and abilities each week and will be responsible for delivering high quality, engaging training sessions.

The Club Development Coaches will be responsible for helping volunteer coaches understand and run training sessions.  Coaches will use techniques such as demonstration, presentation, and active observation to help develop the volunteer coaches’ ability to understand and deliver training sessions based on Sounders FC curriculum.

The Club Development Coaches will be supported by and will interface with a dedicated liaison from the club.  The liaison will provide support, direction, and feedback to ensure each Club Development Coach has a positive and high impact experience.

Club Development Coaches will also be key members of our Summer Camp programming.  During this time, these individuals will be tasked with coaching their own groups, training other coaches and/or providing logistical help to camp operations.

The Club Development Coaches will participate in weekly educational meetings, as well as have the opportunity to work at additional camps and clinics througout the year. Club Development Coaches are expected to spend two (2) or more hours a week outside of the coaching support preparing for the upcoming week’s focus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Curriculum and Metholody Implementation

  • Deeply familiar with Sounders FC curriclum and methodology and display a complete support of curriculum, methodology, and system organization
  • Ability to effectively carry out the curriculum and explain it to volunteer coaches
  • Comfortable coaching a variety of ages at grassroots level

Club Development Program Relationships

  • Bring energy, excitement and fun to build a love of the sport of soccer.
  • Build positive and energizing working relationships with players, club volunteer coaches and parents.
  • Be cordial and respectful when dealing with teams, players, parents, coaches and club staff
  • Be a source of information within the club for key personnel
  • Uphold Sounders FC values and represent the club and brand in a positive way at all times

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional/College playing experience preferred but not required
  • Premier level coaching experience preferred but not required
  • At least two years of coaching experience within soccer
  • USSF “D” license or NSCAA National Diploma highly preferred, however relevant playing or coaching experience may be suitable

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have strong leadership skills and as the ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Must have strong people and relationship building skills to connect with players, club coaches and parents
  • Must possess strong desire to grow soccer from a grassroots level
  • Must be extremely punctual
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the game

  • Must be able to effectively demonstrate soccer specific technical abilities

JOB TITLE: Youth Soccer Camp Coach

DEPARTMENT: Soccer Programs

REPORTS TO: Director of Soccer Programs

FLSA STATUS: Part-Time, Hourly

SUMMARY:

Sounders FC Youth Camp coaches will provide coaching instruction to kids ages 3 – 16 who have registered to participate in Sounders FC Summer Camps.

Coaches will be required to follow and teach the specific curriculum as it pertains to each individual topic of the day. Coaches will be responsible for being educated on the Sounders FC Summer Camp coaching curriculum and have an ability to teach the curriculum to children in every age group.  Coaching education will be provided at mandatory and paid orientation days.

Youth Camp coaches are also responsible for the safety of the children at soccer camp. Each camp coach will be provided with a Sounders FC Coaching Handbook and is required to be up to date and familiar with all rules, regulations, and policies regarding child safety.

Coaches are to assist the site director of each camp location in the day to day operations of each camp site, that includes and is not limited to, setting up camp drills, sorting equipment, checking kids into camp, distributing awards, and handing out supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching the Curriculum
• Study and learn Sounders FC 2018 Summer Camp Curriculum
• Effectively carry out the lesson plans and teach the kids accordingly based on their age level

Safety
• Manage the kids at camp to keep them safe
• Keep an eye out for any dangerous opportunities at camp site
• Keep the children under control and behaving in a manner to avoid injury

Operations
• Assist site director in setting up camp and closing camp each day
• Set up promotional material at youth camp locations
• Help sign children in and out of soccer camp
• Organize equipment each day
• Hand out prizes and awards
• Keep kids under control while site director is addressing the group
Customer Relationships
• Be cordial and respectful when dealing with parents at camp
• Direct any and all complaints to the site director in a calm and respectful manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Premier level soccer playing experience required
• College playing experience preferred but not required
• Experience in childcare preferred but not required
• Minimum “E” Coaching License or equivalent preferred but not required
• Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certificates
