From the city which spawned grunge music and the sounds of Quincy Jones to Jimi Hendrix, comes Sounders FC Sound Wave. Sound Wave is the official band of Seattle Sounders FC and is the brainchild of Sounders FC minority owner Drew Carey. The 53-person ensemble is made up of traditional marching percussion and brass instruments, bringing Sounders FC's passion to life. Sound Wave plays custom arrangements from all types of music including Latin, funk, big band, pop and rock.
Sound Wave sets the tone, rhythm and pace for the extraordinary matchday atmosphere at CenturyLink Field.
Sound Wave sit at the north end of CenturyLink Field near the NES. Sound Wave and supporter groups work in concert to cohesively lead Sounders FC fans in songs and chants that permeate the stadium throughout the match.
Keith Rousu enters his tenth season with the organization as the Director of Sound Wave, our venerable music ensemble that is comprised of brass instruments and drum section and adds musical flair to Sounders match days and community events throughout the Puget Sound region. He manages the 53 musicians and the creative process of music selection, music arranging, and performance effectiveness.
Outside of Sounders FC, Keith is employed as the Director of Blue Thunder, the Seattle Seahawks Drumline and as Transportation Specialist for Bloodworks Northwest. He is also the Chair of the Professional Sports Music Association as well as can be found drumming in local rock bands.
Born in Seattle and raised in Woodinville, Keith is a proud graduate of both the University of Washington, where he participated in the Husky Marching Band as an undergrad, and Seattle University, earning a Master’s in Sports Administration and Leadership. He currently resides in Renton with his wife Erin and their two dogs, Nali and Bruiser.

Sound Wave is an integral part of Sounders FC and is available for appearances such as corporate or personal events.

Guidelines:
All requests must be submitted in writing at least 4 weeks prior to your event. Sound checks and/or walkthroughs are not included and would require an additional fee.
