Welcome Back, seattle

After more than a year, Sounders FC is elated to return fans to Lumen Field. But like most things in our lives, matchday will look a bit different with vaccinated sections and physical distancing requirements and additional health and safety measures.

With your help and patience, we will slowly bring our stadium back to the foot-stomping, scarf waving, full 90 giving fortress that houses the best fans in MLS. Thank you for your unwavering support over the past year, you’re the lifeblood of this club and we’re lucky to have you.

Returning to matchday at Lumen Field

Health and safety continue to be our top priorities as we safely return fans to Lumen Field. We took a phased approach to safely welcome fans back. As we continue through the season, we are excited that our next matches on June 23, June 26 and July 7, the lower bowl will be offered at fully capacity and will require proof of vaccination for eligibility.

Season Members have their season seats loaded onto their Account Manager and will be available to manage the week of June 7. Tickets for these three matches will go onsale to the public on Friday, July 18.

Ticketing FAQS

Key Information

As part of our safety plan in conjunction with regional health authorities, additional safety measures apply to all matches at Lumen Field until further notice, including the first five matchdays.

Face Masks

Latest on masks & CDC guidance: Eligible fans sitting in full capacity (vaccinated) sections do not have to wear a mask at any time, but are encouraged and allowed to do so. Any guest sitting in physically distanced sections or children who aren’t vaccinated ages two and older are required to wear a mask.

Face masks that fit within the CDC guidelines are considered appropriate for guests when inside the stadium, and must be tightly woven and snug to the face, while covering the nose and mouth.

If you feel another fan is not observing the mask policy, please do not hesitate to text HAWK12 or speak to the nearest guest services representative. Not wearing a mask is considered a Fan Code of Conduct violation.

VACCINATED SECTIONS

What is a vaccinated section?

With everyone fully vaccinated, the club is able to sell the section at full capacity, meaning fans can stand side-by-side with fellow fans with the comfort of knowing that everyone is vaccinated. This is the next phase of getting our matchday experience back to normal. Fans who sit in these sections do not have to wear a mask at any time, but are encouraged and allowed to do so. By having a ticket in this section, fans will attest that they and everyone in their party are fully vaccinated and will be required to show proof of vaccination prior to entering the stadium.

  • Anyone fully vaccinated can sit in the section without a mask (ages 12+).
  • Ages 5-15 who are not fully vaccinated yet show proof of a negative test can sit in the section but must wear a mask.
  • Ages 2-5 do not need to show proof of a negative test but must wear a mask.
  • Anyone 1 year or younger does not need to wear a mask or provide proof of a negative test.

Please review the requirements to sit in a vaccinated section HERE

Pod Integrity

While eager to get back to normal, we know that every member and their family will need to choose what is best for them. If you are not eligible to sit in your season location or do not feel comfortable, you may exchange your tickets for these three matches to physically distanced pod seating. This option is available for members only and these tickets won’t be available for the general public (unless through resale). The seating manifest allows for a full six feet of distance between ticket groups or pods. Ticket pods range from single seats up to sets of six. A majority of pods will be groups of two and four. Pods may be modified or added but all pods shall be sold subject to the following rules:

All tickets will be sold in ticket pods (between one and six tickets), that must be purchased together. Ticket pods must be used by members of the same household or permissible quarantining unit, as permitted by regional health authorities. No more than two ticket pods will share a single row, to prevent any ticket pod from having to pass another pod to travel to or from an aisle.

All tickets shall be electronic in 2021 and no paper tickets will be permitted or printed. No PDFs of tickets will be permitted. Lumen Field remains a cashless venue and points of sale are touchless, including concessions and retail. The Lumen Field clear bag policy remains in effect.

GATES

The following gates will be available for fan entry: NW Gate, NE Gate, North Gate, SW Gate, South Gate. For club guests, level 5 of Lumen Field Garage and for suite guests, level 6 of Lumen Field Garage. Please pay attention to your “Scarves Up” communication as we may require you to entire in a particular gate.

Updated Bag Policy

  • We are using the same bag policy as before, but the process has changed. All bags must be clear in color and no larger than 12”x6”x12” (same as 2020). New to 2021, upon entry, event security will complete a visual inspection of all bags and the guest is responsible for opening their bag. Staff members will not physically open a guest’s bag or place their hands within the guest’s bag. Once the bag is opened, the screener will conduct the visual inspection. Upon completion, the guest will carry their bag through the magnetometer for metal detection screening. Search tables will have the prohibited items list onsite during the inspection in case questions arise.
  • Clear bag exceptions will be made for “clutch” sized purses measuring no more than 4.5” x 6.5”. There is an exception for medically necessary items (including diaper bags) after proper inspection is permitted at the northwest VIP gate, south gate, club entrance (garage level 5), and suite entrance (garage level 6).
