On Wednesday morning, the Seattle Sounders announced their newest Designated Player, Nicolás Lodeiro. The 27-year-old Uruguay national team midfielder landed in Seattle on Tuesday morning and is set to join the squad in training on Thursday ahead of this weekend's match against the LA Galaxy at CenturyLink Field (1 p.m. PT; ESPN; KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360am).
