Damion Lowe Has Successful Surgery, Kevin Parsemain Suffers Torn ACL

RENTON, Wash. - Seattle Sounders FC defender Damion Lowe underwent successful surgery on his left hip on Monday, April 7. Lowe is expected to miss four months. Additionally, forward Kevin Parsemain suffered a torn ACL and will undergo surgery in the near future. Parsemain is expected to miss six to seven months.


Lowe, 20, was selected by Seattle with its top pick (8th overall) in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. The Jamaican international started three of six appearances for Sounders FC in the 2014 preseason, logging 345 minutes. Lowe was a three-year starter at the University of Hartford, where he started all 44 appearances with eight goals and four assists.


Parsemain, 26, was signed by Sounders FC on March 28, 2014. He co-led Sounders FC with three goals in the 2014 preseason, starting four of six appearances with 248 minutes played. A native of Martinique, Parsemain is one of his country's leading scorers at the international level and most recently played for Riviere-Pilote in the Martinique first division.
