Following the team’s 2-2 draw against Chicago Fire at Lumen Field on Saturday afternoon, Seattle Sounders forward Dejan Joveljić was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 23.
In his Sounders debut, the Serbian striker tallied a brace for the Rave Green with a goal in both halves.
The first came in the 12th minute with a stellar first-time finish from point blank range while the second was a top-bin banger from distance just three minutes into the second half.
With his two goals, Joveljić became the fastest player in club history to score a brace in a debut match.
The Sounders return to action on Saturday when they host the New York Red Bulls at Lumen Field (5:30 p.m. PT; Apple TV, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360AM).
