Just minutes after securing the goal that put Sounders FC through to the Western Conference Semifinals, midfielder Erik Friberg found himself in a bit of an awkward situation in a post-match interview with UniMas [above]. As the sideline reporter began the interview and spoke with her broadcast team in Spanish, Friberg realized he couldn't understand her questions. Caught up in the excitement of the win, the two had a charming exchange before Friberg realized she'd be asking the questions in Spanish and translating to English for him.
The Swede, as well as teammate Chad Marshall, took to Twitter post-match with a witty remark on the situation.
