The Seattle Sounders on Saturday announced the signing of 27-year-old Dutch fullback Kelvin Leerdam from SBV Vitesse in the Netherlands’ Eredivisie. Leerdam brings a wealth of experience, an attacking mindset and a ton of versatility to Seattle.
Leerdam has spent nearly a decade playing professionally in his home country and has appeared in the UEFA Champions League, Europe’s most prestigious club tournament. He is excited to join a Sounders side fresh off an MLS Cup and eager to win another.
