SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC 2 forward Felix Chenkam today was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 5. He scored twice in a 3-2 victory for S2 on Saturday against Rio Grande Valley FC at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma.
Chenkam, 19, netted his first of the match in the first minute off a cross from captain Ray Saari. He completed the brace in the 67th minute to even the game at 2-2. In the 68th minute, Chenkam nearly made it a hat trick on a chip over the goalkeeper, but the ball spun wide off the wet, slick surface.
S2 returns to the pitch on Saturday, April 21, at Colorado Switchbacks FC at 5:00 p.m. PT. The club returns home to Cheney Stadium in Tacoma on Sunday, May 6, against Sacramento Republic FC at 1:30 p.m. PT, with tickets available via WeRTacoma.com. Both matches are set to be live-streamed on ESPN+.
