Five Seattle Sounders called into national team duty for upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches

Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris and Clint Dempsey (United States), midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro (Uruguay) and defenders Roman Torres (Panama) and Joevin Jones (Trinidad and Tobago) have all been called into their respective national teams for upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.


Morris, Dempsey and the United States will host Honduras in San Jose, Calif., on March 24 (7:30 p.m. PT; FS1, Univision) before traveling to take on Torres and Panama on March 28 (7 p.m. PT; beIN Sports) in Rounds 3 and 4 of the Hexagonal in CONCACAF qualifying. Morris (14 caps/two goals) and Dempsey (130/52) will try and help the U.S. earn their first points and get them out of their last-place hole after the first two rounds.


Torres and Panama will visit Jones and T&T on March 24 before hosting the U.S. on March 28. National team captain Torres has 79 caps and 12 goals for Los Canaleros.


Jones and T&T will host Torres and Panama on March 24 before hosting Mexico on March 28. Jones has six goals in 59 caps for the Soca Warriors.


Lodeiro and Uruguay sit in second place in CONMEBOL qualifying with 23 points from 12 matches. La Celeste will host leader Brazil on March 23 before traveling to take on Peru on March 28. Lodeiro has four goals in 50 caps.
