GOAL: Clint Dempsey scores his 50th international goal with USMNT

Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey earned his 50th career goal for the U.S. national team in Tuesday's Copa America Centenario match versus Costa Rica. The goal, a penalty kick in the first half of the match, was the first goal for the USMNT in the tournament. Watch the goal now.

Dempsey is now just seven goals shy of the current all-time leading scorer, Landon Donovan. Dempsey is the second player in USMNT history to reach the 50-goal milestone.
