Leagues Cup Unveils 2023 Match Schedule

SEATTLE, WASH. – The Leagues Cup 2023 bracket announcement today revealed the official 2023 Leagues Cup match schedule, with Sounders FC set to visit MLS rival Real Salt Lake on July 22 before hosting Liga MX powerhouse CF Monterrey on July 30 at Lumen Field. The inaugural edition of the official Concacaf competition sees all 47 clubs (18 from LIGA MX, 29 from MLS) compete in a World Cup-style tournament from July 21 – August 19, 2023.

The Group Stage begins on July 21 and runs through July 31. As previously announced, Sounders FC was placed in the West 2 group alongside Real Salt Lake and CF Monterrey of Liga MX. Seattle begins its Leagues Cup campaign on Saturday, July 22 with a trip to Real Salt Lake at America First Field before hosting CF Monterrey on Sunday, July 30 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field, with official match times to be revealed at a later date.

Single-match tickets are now on sale for the Group Stage contest on July 30 at Lumen Field. Tickets are available exclusively online through or over the phone by calling 877-657-4625.

The top two teams from each group advance to compete in the single-match elimination Knockout Rounds, beginning with the Round of 32 on August 2-4, followed by the Round of 16 on August 6-8, the Quarterfinals on August 11-12 and the two Semifinal matches on August 15. The Leagues Cup 2023 Final and Third-Place match are being held on Saturday, August 19, determining the three clubs that qualify for the 2024 Concacaf Champions League.

Fans in over 100 counties are able to watch Leagues Cup* on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app, which is available on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices from Roku, Amazon and Google, game consoles, in addition to the web at TelevisaUnivision, FOX Sports, TSN and RDS are the linear broadcast homes for select Leagues Cup matches in the United States and Canada.

After starting the season with two consecutive wins over the Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders FC embarks on its first road trip this year, taking on FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium on Saturday, March 11 (4:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
