Referee Kevin Stott will be the head official for the Seattle Sounders’ Week 7 away match against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Friday (7 p.m.; Q13FOX, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM), the Professional Referee Organization announced on Tuesday. He will be joined by assistants Jeffrey Hosking and Cameron Blanchard and fourth official Dave Gantar.
Stott officiated two Sounders matches last year, a 2-1 home win over Real Salt Lake on Aug. 14 and a 1-1 road draw at the San Jose Earthquakes on Sept. 10. He issued six total yellow cards, with two against the Sounders and four against opponents.
This will be Stott’s fourth center referee assignment of the season. He has issued seven yellow cards and has not shown anyone a red.
