Referee Ricardo Salazar will be the head official for the Seattle Sounders’ Week 6 away match against the San Jose Earthquakes this Saturday (7:30 p.m. PT; Q13 FOX, Univision, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM), the Professional Referee Organization announced on Tuesday. He will be joined by assistants Kathryn Nesbitt and Logan Brown and fourth official Younes Marrakchi.
Salazar officiated the Sounders’ 2017 MLS regular-season opener, a 2-1 loss to the Houston Dynamo, on March 4. He issued three yellow cards, two to the Sounders and one to the Dynamo.
This will be Salazar’s fourth center referee assignment of the season. He has issued six total yellow cards and has not shown anyone a red.
