Seattle Sounders FC 2 announced that it is holding an open tryout at Starfire Sports, the club's home facility, from February 10-11. The two-day session marks the club's second tryout of the offseason - the first of 2017 - after an out-of-state tryout with North Carolina-based official youth partner Twin City Youth Soccer Association in November.
"We're constantly looking to add the best available young talent to our organization," said Head Scout Kurt Schmid. "We hope to find players at this tryout who can further develop at S2."

Players are set to be assessed by members of the Sounders FC, S2 and Sounders FC Academy technical staff, including Schmid and S2 Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson, in addition to other approved assessors.
Tryouts at all locations are open to male soccer players ages 16 and older, with a registration cost of $100 for each player. The deadline to register for the tryout event is February 8, unless the event has reached full capacity. Check-in at Starfire Sports is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. PT on February 10. If space is still available, in-person registration is being accepted for $150 a player on February 10 only.
