After falling 2-1 on the road to the Houston Dynamo last week, the Seattle Sounders have slid a bit in the latest media installments on MLS Power Rankings.
The Sounders are No. 5 on MLSSoccer.com (No. 1 last week), No. 7 on ESPN.com (No. 1) and No. 11 on SI.com (No. 3).
“The Sounders took it on the chin on the road in Houston, but there has to be good feeling about Clint Dempsey's return to the field and the scoresheet,” said ESPN.com’s Jason Davis.
The Sounders will try and bounce back in Week 2 when they travel to Quebec to take on the Montreal Impact on Saturday (4 p.m. PT; JOEtv, ROOT Sports outside Seattle, KIRO Radio 97.3FM, El Rey 1360AM).
