The Seattle Sounders are taking on the Portland Timbers on Wednesday (7:30 p.m. PT; ESPN+) at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma in the Fourth Round of the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Here is the Delta Starting XI:

NOTES:


- The Sounders roll out nine of the same starters that they did in their last MLS match against the Montreal Impact on June 5. The only changes are Bryan Meredith starting in goal and Danny Leyva starting in midfield.


- Leyva, 16, makes his first Sounders First Team start in all competitions after becoming the youngest Sounders to appear in an MLS match when he entered as a substitute against Montreal.


- Tacoma Defiance’s Josh Atencio, Danny Robles, Shandon Hopeau and Alec Diaz are available on the bench on Wednesday. They are four of six Defiance players who signed short-term MLS loan agreements on Wednesday to be eligible to compete in the Open Cup.
