- Captain Brad Evans misses his fourth straight match as he recovers from injuries to his lower back and calf. Evans has not played since the Sounders’ 4-2 loss to the Portland Timbers on Aug. 28.


- Forward Clint Dempsey will be unavailable for the rest of the season as he undergoes treatment for an irregular heartbeat, Sounders GM and President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey announced on Tuesday. Dempsey is second on the team in goals this season with eight.
